66737, Calvert, 6S01, 24th July 2017
The MoD stores train from Bicester COD is normally a fairly short trip working to Didcot Yard, but on this occasion was more of a marathon! With an engineering blockade in place at Oxford the train ran as 6S01, 11:53 from Bicester MoD GBRf sidings to Glen Douglas MoD GBRf, where it was scheduled to arrive at 08:49 the following morning! For some reason it was routed via reversal at Claydon to Aylesbury and Princes Risborough, then to Greenford and Acton Main Line, Acton Canal Wharf and Willesden No.7 then down the WCML. 66737 "Lesia", having run round its train at Claydon Loop, is now approaching the remains of Calvert station on the former GCR main line and heading southwards towards Aylesbury.13:19¼, Monday 24th July 2017.
