With both 6A58 and 6V49 scheduled to leave Calvert at the same time, 10:14 to Northolt and Thorney Mill respectively, it was something of a gamble as to which train turned up! In the event, 6A58 won the toss and is seen here passing Aylesbury Depot at 10:54 with 60045 "The Permanent Way Institution" in charge, the first time a Class 60 has been around these parts for ages. The loco also carries a 40B (Immingham) shed allocation plate. On the left in the foreground is the "Green Goddess" Class 117 Sandite Unit No. 960 301, alongside "Bubblecar" 121 020 and Ruston Shunter "Lesley". Tuesday 30th October 2012.
