General view looking west at Launton Crossing, 3rd November 2018
This is a view looking south west from the level-crossing at Launton, towards Bicester, the track having been lifted and a gate constructed over the trackbed. To the right, the remains of the very low platform of Launton station can be seen, this was the down platform. The up platform to the left was of wooden construction and demolished soon after the station cloased from 1st January 1968. Track has now been lifted at various locations and work compounds are appearing for the forthcoming upgrade of the line as part of East-West Rail, between Bicester and Bletchley. 11:35, Saturday 3rd November 2018.
