DR No. 99 1594-3, Kirchberg, 15th September 1971
Saxon Meyer 0-4-4-0T No. 99 1594-3 has now arrived at Kirchberg station with its train from Wilkau-Haßlau. By this time Kirchberg was the end of the line, but it was originally a through station as the line continued to Rothenkirchen and Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz, where it met up with the standard gauge line through Eibenstock, which is now also closed. The loco is coming off the train to be serviced at the depot visible in the background. When I re-visited this location in 1974 the depot was still standing and had at least one Meyer inside, although all track had been lifted. Wednesday 15th September 1971. Slide No. 7685.
