DR No. 01 0530-4, Bebra, 21st January 1973
DR rebuilt 01/5 Class 4-6-2s worked over the border from Erfurt to Bebra in West Germany with several passenger expresses each day. In between turns No. 01 0530-4 simmers outside the loco depot alongside the station in Bebra, seen from across the platforms. This is one of the oil-fired locos, some were coal-fired (in which case they were numbered in the 01 15xx series). Several locos were fitted with BoxPok type wheels instead of normal spoked wheels.
