Train Rear, Charbridge Lane Level-Crossing, Bicester, 6C30, 14th May 2014
Some 7½ minutes after the leading loco (70805) passed over Charbridge Lane level-crossing, the last vehicle is now on its way over. The reason for the train being restricted to 3mph is apparent as the very small wheels at the rear of the wagon do not look to be designed for high speed! Two ground staff members had to walk along behind the train to watch for any signs of derailment - and a two hour walk faced them as the train returned to Claydon Loop, running as 6C30 with 70801 also in the consist. 16:28½, Wednesday 14th May 2014.
