June 2018
The month got off to a great start with a visit organised by the RCTS Watford Branch to the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway on Sunday 3rd June 2018. Branch Secretary Rob Davidson, also a regular volunteer at the G&WSR, had put the trip together and it was enjoyed very much by our group of ten participants. Many thanks to Rob for organising this event! More trips to come later in the month, plus some more Branch Line Society outings. As usual, a few shots to get the ball rolling, more to be added as time permits.

6023, Toddington, 3rd June 2018
Having recently come off-shed at Toddington, GWR "King" Class 4-6-0 No. 6023 "King Edward II" is making its way over to Platform 2 at the station in order to take water before sharing the day's duties with BR Standard "Britannia" 4-6-2 No. 70013 "Oliver Cromwell", an interesting juxtaposition of names! The day started quite murky but became very hot and humid, plenty of cloud around as well as blue sky, and at least it didn't rain! 08:58, Sunday 3rd June 2018. Digital Image No. IGMP36947.
