Chiltern Railways held a short ceremony to mark the official launch into service of the Class 172/1s at Marylebone station on Friday 15th July 2011, though the units have now been in service for a little while. As part of the present diagram, the three units coupled together into one train spend much of the day stabled in the wall siding at Marylebone station and one of these, 172 102 was used for the ceremony. Having been uncoupled from the other two it was moved from the siding by a 165 unit which was also stabled there and then reversed into Platform 1. Here, it is seen being moved out of the wall siding at 14:28. Digital Image No. GMPI9726. There is also a "3D" version of this shot in the "Three Dimensional!" collection.
