PNKA No. C19 03 is one of the twelve members of the class of short wheelbase outside cylindered 0-6-0Ts built by Hartmann between 1898 and 1902. It proudly carries its maker's plate on the polished brass dome, proclaiming it to be works No. 2421 of 1898. It is sitting inside the shed (more of a roof on stilts!) at Djati depot in Probolinggo. On the left is No. B16 24, an 0-4-0Tr (tram engine) possibly built by Hohenzollern, though I can find no reference for this engine! Friday 27th July 1973. Thanks to information received from Rob Dickinson, I now know that this loco is Hohenzollern No. 1190 of 1899, though not sure why it became B16 24 as opposed to B16 13, the next in the series... Slide No. 11938.
