Dumped in an old depot at Pieschen, Dresden, was former Saxon XVIII H, DR Class 18/0, 3 cylinder 4-6-2 No. 18 010, built in 1918 by Hartmann, one of a class of ten engines. Did it survive into preservation? Monday 13th September 1971. Sadly, it seems the loco was used as a donor of parts for other locos and the remains were scrapped on 15th February 1974. Slide No. 7604.

on April 29, 2013It was to have been preserved. However, some parts were removed for the preservation of 19.017 (Saxon XX HV 2-8-2 207) and the Pacific was scrapped. How could they?!
