3-cylinder 2-10-0 No. 044 212-9 drifts down the grade alongside the River Mosel towards Prinzenkopf Tunnel with a train from Trier to Koblenz, the railway here built on a series of arches, the Pündericher Hangviadukt. The slopes of the hills (nearby is a hillside claimed to be the steepest cultivated slope in Europe) are covered in vines as part of the area's wine production. Monday 5th April 1971. Slide No. 6527.
