LNWR "Jumbo" (or "Precedent") class 2-4-0 No. 790 "Hardwicke" was one of the star performers during the "Railway Races to the North" from London to Aberdeen in the latter years of the Nineteenth Century and as such became part of the National Collection. It made occasional forays onto the main line and is here double-heading with 92220 "Evening Star", the train approaching Wescoehill Tunnel, near Weeton, on the line from Leeds to Harrogate.
