43044, Normanton MPD, 28th December 1967
LMS Ivatt 2-6-0 No. 43044 is looking the worse for wear, dumped alongside the coaling tower at Normanton MPD, on the sunny but cold afternoon of Thursday 28th December 1967. The loco was built at Horwich Works and entered service on 29th September 1949, spending most of its life in the Leeds/Bradford area, ending up at Normanton just a short while before withdrawal at the end of September 1967. It was scrapped at Cashmore's, Great Bridge, by the end of April 1968. Slide No. 3194.
