46115 'Scots Guardsman', Carnforth Depot, 22nd April 2017
LMS "Royal Scot" Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman" quietly brews up at WCRC's Carnforth Depot at 02:45¾ on the cold morning of Saturday 22nd April 2017. It was due to take over 1Z86, the 07:10 "Cumbrian Mountain Express" from Euston, at Carnforth, replacing 86259 for the run to Carlisle via Shap. In the event, 86259 failed at Euston and eventually, the first leg of the tour was worked by 47746, arriving at Carnforth at 12:41, around 110 minutes late...
