British Industrial Systems
As steam traction was run down on BR lines, so interest in industrial systems rose. There were many places around the country with a wealth of ancient and modern machines still hard at work in the late 1960s and early 1970s. NCB No. 56, Seghill, 4th August 1965
NCB No. 56 (RSH 0-6-0ST OC 7602/1949) is in the exchange sidings with BR at Seghill, covering the area in a smokescreen as it does some shunting. It had arrived with loaded wagons from Dudley Colliery which are now left in the sidings and has run round a set of empty wagons which it will return to the colliery. Wednesday 4th August 1965.
