BLS "Roundhouse Rotator", 17th November 2019
Another excellent tour organised by the Branch Line Society in conjunction with West Coast Railways, Barrow Hill Engine Shed Society and Network Rail, raising funds for the Half-Cab Restoration Project. Due to a possession on the "Old Road", the train could not depart from Barrow Hill until after mid-day so much of the tour was in the dark and, more or less, all of it in pouring rain! The intended destination of Corby also had to be changed at the last minute, again due to trackwork being upgraded. A visit into Bombardier Litchurch Lane was arranged instead and the train then went to Peterborough vice Corby. A good day was had by all despite the weather and a huge amount was raised for the restoration project. As usual, a few photos to start with, more to be added as time permits. Please note all photos taken from ground positions are with permission and under supervision.
