BLS "Rossington Recycler", 13th April 2019
Au unusual day out organised by the Branch Line Society in conjunction with the Preserved Locomotive Enthusiast Group (PLEG) on the former Rossington Colliery Branch. This is now a recycling site owned by Eco-Power Environmental with the rail facility operated by Eco-Railfreight for the transhipment of waste products. Four trips were operated during the day utilising the on-site shunter 08527 together with the BLS converted ferry van "Molly" as passenger accommodation. Funds were raised for various charities, including the Railway Benefit Fund, Doncaster Hospice and Team Daniel. Thanks to all involved in setting-up the day's events. Please note all photos taken from ground positions were with permission and under supervision, or taken by authorised staff on my behalf.
