BLS "Gourock Growler", 27th April 2019
As part of a marathon weekend of events, the Branch Line Society ran a tour on Saturday 27th April 2019, the "Gourock Growler", starting and finishing in Crewe. This was sandwiched between a trip from Bo'ness to Crewe on the Friday and a return from Crewe to Bo'ness on the Sunday, neither of which I was able to join. The trips were run in conjunction with DRS, the Scottish Railway Preservation Society and Network Rail, raising money for the chosen charity the Railway Benefit Fund. It was another glorious weekend despite "Storm Hannah" and was enjoyed by all concerned. As usual, a few shots to start things off, more to add as time permits (and it never seems to...).

BLS "Gourock Growler", PoV 68018, Lamington Viaduct, 27th April 2019
View from the rear cab of 68018 on the tail of the BLS "Gourock Growler" as the train passes over Lamington Viaduct across the River Clyde. This had to be substantially rebuilt after floods in December 2015 almost brought about its collapse. 10:39½, Saturday 27th April 2019. Digital Image No. IGMP47286.
