66112, Charndon, 0Z60, 15th April 2014
Having arrived at Calvert double-heading with 66077 on 6M48 from Acton Yard, 66112 is now operating as 0Z60, 12:20 from Calvert to Claydon L&NE Junction Loop and, after reversal, to Bicester Eastern Perimeter (Charbridge Lane Crossing), the present limit of track still in place. This is a route-learning duty in conjunction with the diversion of the trip working from Didcot Yard to Bicester COD, at present still running via Oxford. From mid-May 2014 the line from Oxford will be closed for Evergreen Three upgrade work and the trains diverted via Hanwell, Greenford, High Wycombe, Aylesbury and Calvert to access the COD at Bicester. The route-learning duty, presumably for Didcot drivers, should have started the day before and was originally intended to be worked by a Class 60, runs the rest of the week until Thursday, the loco stabling overnight at Aylesbury. With the signals at Claydon L&NE Junction in the background, the loco is seen approaching the foot-crossing at Charndon at 13:01 on Tuesday 15th April 2014. Digital Image No. IGMP3266.
