GWR "Castle" class 4-6-0 No. 5043 "Earl of Mount Edgcumbe" pulls out all the stops as it roars through Princes Risborough on the up main line whilst working 1Z44, the "Marylebone Flyer" (though carrying "The Inter-City" headboard), 09:57 non-stop from Birmingham Moor Street to Marylebone, running around three minutes late at 11:21 on Saturday 6th April 2013. Unfortunately, it seems the loco allegedly caused some lineside fires which meant that the return working was hauled by a Class 47 diesel with the steam loco "tucked inside"... The vehicle immediately behind the tender is the converted GUV water carrier, painted in Western Region "chocolate" livery. Digital Image No. GMPI14753.
