K1 62005 worked the NYMR 40th Anniversary Special from Whitby (where 75029, which had headed the train from Grosmont, was left behind to work back light engine later) to Grosmont and LH&JCR 0-6-2T No. 29 was then added as pilot loco from Grosmont to Pickering. This engine was one of the two that had worked the Royal opening train in 1973 (the other being NER P3 No. 2392, at present undergoing overhaul) and had only just had its latest overhaul completed in time - the paint on the loco was still tacky and the lining not completed! The anniversary headboard is attached to the engine prior to departure from Grosmont. 14:40, Wednesday 1st May 2013. B1 No. 61264 stands alongside. Digital Image no. GMPI15353.
