London Transport Trolleybuses
Somewhat more than 50 years ago, 8th and 9th May 1962 marked the last time that London's Trolleybuses ran in public service, the final run ending back at Fulwell depot in the early hours of the 9th May, 31 years after the first services ran, also from Fulwell depot. London Transport trolleybus No.1, known as "The Diddler", sits in the yard at Fulwell depot on Sunday 6th May 1962, just a couple of days before the end of trolleybus operation on Tuesday 8th May 1962, though the last working did not arrive back at the depot until the early hours of 9th May. Services started from Fulwell depot 31 years earlier and No.1 is now preserved. B&W Neg No. 35.
