20901 and 20905 led 7X09 into Princes Risborough at 23:40, prior to reversal for Aylesbury. The train is somewhat longer than the platform, so the locos were well off the end of the platform. Deliveries of LUL "S" Stock continue into 2013 with the first run from Old Dalby to Neasden on Wednesday 2nd January 2013. During the reversal procedure at 23:44 at Princes Risborough, HNRail liveried 20314 and 20096 await departure towards Aylesbury after the train arrived behind 20901 and 20905 a few minutes earlier. Having arrived at Princes Risborough a short while earlier with 20901 and 20905 leading, 7X09 has now reversed and is departing for Aylesbury in a cloud of clag behind 20096 and 20314. I was tempted out by a clear blue sky and lovely sunshine, only for it to cloud over minutes later to yet another dull day... Running around 50 minutes late, DCR 56303 is approaching Islip station with 6Z91, the 10:53 empty flyash train from Calvert to Didcot Power Station, the third DCR 56 (and third livery variation!) to be involved with this working. 13:02, Friday 4th January 2013. As part of the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Metropolitan Railway, LUL ran a series of specials on Sunday 13th January 2013, utilising MR E class 0-4-4T No. 1 and Met Electric No. 12 "Sarah Siddons" top and tailing a train of vintage coaches including the Ashbury set that formerly worked the Chesham branch, Fist Class coach No. 353 and Milk Van No. 3 (with a supply of water for the loco on board as a contingency). The train departed ECS from Lillie Bridge depot at 09:40 with No. 12 leading and No. 1 on the rear to pick up the party of VIPs for the first run from Kensington Olympia to Moorgate. No. 1 is seen soon after leaving the depot at 09:41, carrying train number 150 and the headboard "150 Underground Pioneer 1863 - 2013". Digital Image No. GMPI13639.
